Human Embryology.
The Evolution Of The Baby In The Womb.
Reflecting On Our Videos

Making our videos sure was a challenge. We had to brainstorm, then after that, finally
pick an idea. Then that was when a fight broke out. Then the storyboard which took up like 3
pages. After all that, we did our research which was very interesting. Next, we started our
production which was fun. Then we showed our finished video to the class, and let me just say, people can be rude. I learned so much during this process.
Before we had or started our video, we had a third member. We each had our own ideas, two to be exact. Me and my partner wanted one idea ( Human Embryology ) while our third one did not. So we fought and fought, but could not agree. Our teacher moved our other partner to another group. We learned that fighting will get you absolutely nowhere. So that was how we got to do our video idea or chose it.
During our research ,we found many scary but interesting things, considering our video is about the baby in the womb. One interesting but scary fact is that only the strongest sperm would make it. When doing our research we came upon many words we did not know. So we looked them up, by doing that it made the process easier and better to understand for me and people watching. I also learned that on the 11th month the risk of a miscarriage is very low. We completed our research by looking up side effects, what happens, how does the baby grow, and more. You can also find more information in books. We did not use books, but I know they have books out there. Research was very fun, and scary.
Our next step was our storyboard. I think a storyboard helped me, and and other students, a lot. I think that because it can really help us get an idea of what we want and what would be better or worse in our video. So, because of that I would use it. We did write some reflections and things on the computer, although I personally prefer writing it on paper. Of course we had to draw a picture with every ¨slide¨. When we were done we gave our finished story board to our teach to review. She helped us make it a better story and made us add things for our video.
When that was done we started our production phase. Our production phase was tricky. It was like that because we messed around a lot, and had problems with our ipad, and computer. But we got is despite all of our problems done anyways. We both had lots of ideas. I thought all of our ideas was more of a good thing than a bad thing. Our combined ideas are what made are video good. I did learn a technique. I learned how to save a photo on the Ipad. You do this by selecting your photo, then you press you finger down somewhere and hold it there, then you should see and ¨ Save Photo¨ Button, you want to click that. The strength in our video I think would be our research. Our weakness would also be our information to some people who are too young or immature. Overall the production phase was fun, interesting, and stressful, but I learned to not let the stress get to you.
We then showed our almost finished video to the class, we then read their feedback and used it. that is called the Edit/Revision phase. That phase helped our video a whole lot. In our grows and glow comments we got lots of ¨ Glow: Lots of info, Grow: Lots of info.¨ That meant we had lots of good information, but it was a lot to take in and gross. Though we did not fix our information because we knew it was necessary. We also got comments saying ¨ Grow: Add music¨ and ¨ Quiet and Creepy.¨ So, we added some peaceful and calming music. The music helped by making our video more appealing and less ¨ creepy. ¨ I did not think that our class would really use those harsh words, and be so judgemental. I would not pick this topic again, because the feedback was mean and I already did. I thought the Edit/ Revision phase was fun but offensive, But I did not let it get to me.
When working on this project I learned many different things. My partner and I worked well together, although we did talk and play, also socialize, we got it done while having fun. We agreed and worked very well together. I learned many useful things too. Even though we had our fights, rude comments, and many ideas, I really liked this project and the people I worked with.
